Collection Approach

Training
We pay close attention during our training program to ensure that our staff members are not only experts on the laws applicable to collections and telephone techniques, but also become well-rounded, goal-oriented individuals. Training procedures are in place (initially and on-going) to ensure compliance with all applicable collection laws. All collectors must successfully complete FDCPA testing before they are allowed to handle telephone calls. Additionally, our collectors undergo the certification process by the American Collectors Association. Our collection management team meets with collectors on a monthly basis to review various cases involving different interpretations and court rulings on FDCPA and State Law violations. On-going training and professional development of each employee is a critical component in our success model.

Client Review
Our work begins for you before the first account is placed. We take a proactive approach to our client partnerships. We develop an action plan involving all areas within CCI by creating an overall client profile. Systems are designed and tested prior to the first placement. This forward planning insures not only a seamless transition, but provides our team with full and clear knowledge of your expectations and requirements.

Methods of Placement
We are capable of EDI and are currently using same. CCI can accept placements and transfer information in any format required by the client such as:

  • EDI

  • FTP

  • WAN/VPN

  • Email CCI has the ability to retrieve work, transmit updated information and submit invoices via the internet.

Dedicated Units
The accounts are assigned to a dedicated collection unit comprised of collectors and staff experienced with utility accounts. We have the ability to increase the unit size immediately to handle any unexpected volume increases. The unit will work accounts in a pooled environment until payment terms are established. Once a collector obtains a commitment to pay, the account becomes part of their collection queue for follow-up action.
